Card of the day

Each card carries a single sentence: why you should make time for a book, a film, a series, a place, a game, an album, a dish, a podcast, a hobby, a sport or a work of art. Next to it: who it is not for, its patience threshold and its cost. If the sentence does not convince you, the work is not for you.

Pick a situation, tell us your mood and how much effort you want to put in, and three cards come out of the logbook.
Each row holds a work, a single sentence, an action stamp and a rating out of 5. Open a card to see what is like it and what is its opposite.
Every card says the same things: the reason, who it is not for, the patience threshold, the cost and a rating. Cards do not describe a personal reading or viewing experience. Readers have their say through votes and the cards they submit.
Generic praise gives itself away here. Every card states who it is not for, its patience threshold and its cost.
The reason is given without giving the surprise away. A sentence that retells the plot is not accepted.
The logbook started in Turkish: books have Turkish editions, films a Turkish release title, games Turkish support. Here you get the original and English titles; credits are checked against sources.
Think of a work you love and write a one-sentence reason to make time for it. The stamp tells you whether the sentence follows the rules. The text stays in your browser.
Write your one-sentence reason to make time for a work.
Every card also says who might put the work down. Under a card you did not like, you will find works that go the opposite way.
Criticism is about the work.
Reasons concern the work, not the author, the crew or the reader.
No negative reviews of named businesses.
On place cards, the flaw is about the place itself: crowds, the road, the season.
The point where you might quit is concrete too.
“Boring” is not enough; the patience threshold says exactly where it gets hard.
We publish the card under your name. Cards are reviewed before they go live; submissions may be in English or Turkish.
